In the second episode, "The Runaway", Toph, Aang, and Sokka discover the art of scamming people out of money using Tophs earthbending talent. The story is revealed to both Aang and Prince Zuko, but through different sources, and it even shows the genesis of the Fire Nation's war on the other nations. But the first episode, "The Avatar and the Firelord", is a bit different, as it tells mainly of the story of how the previous avatar, Avatar Roku, used to be best friends with Fire Lord Sozin. So while they wait for the fateful day to arrive, they basically just hang out and have little adventures. So it would seem that Aang may not quite be ready to take on someone as powerful as the Fire Lord, even if the evil one would loose his powers for several minutes.īut the plans are already set, with members of the Earth Nation and Water Nation joining in the battle, and Aang feels it must be done. Unfortunately, has not yet mastered the extremely powerful avatar state, and in fact he can't even enter the state at all. The day of the black sun is near, which is an eclipse that they learned about in the previous season, and since this event will cause all the firebenders to loose their bending while the eclipse is taking place, Aang and pals set up plans for an invasion to coincide it. Somehow, the gang snuck into the Fire Nation and are now posing as loyal members of the Fire Nation. and that is taking on the Fire Lord!Īlthough I missed volume 1 of book 3, the continuity isn't too hard to pick up. So the label of Fire for this season comes not from the type of bending Aang is going to learn, but from what Aang and the gang are going to do. but that's kind of hard to do when the Fire Nation is at war with the rest of the world. I placed my hands on my chest and blinked my tears away. Can you believe it?! The third season of Avatar: The Last Airbender is now halfway through it's DVD release! In Book 1: Water, Aang took on the challenge of mastering waterbending, and in Book 2: Earth, Aang suffered through the challenges of learning earthbending, so in Book 3: Fire, we'd expect him to start studying firebending. I grabbed the edge of the ship and hopped onto it. I'd make sure the light defeated the dark I looked up at the moon that dazzled the night sky and smiled softly. I looked down at my hands and felt tears escape my gold orbs. I stood up straight and put my hands to my chest. I leaned on the edge of the boat and sighed. The beautiful moon reflected off the water and it made the water shine, stunningly. I stood on the edge of the deck and stared out at the ocean below us.

Night had fallen on the Fire Navy ship and everyone was asleep, except for me. Everyone wants him to wake up and be okay, but I'm the worst one. I miss him so much, it's killing me and not a day goes by that I don't see him. Katara's water from the North Pole helped by awakening his Avatar spirit, but I brought him back to life.Įvery night, I visit Aang and just sit there hoping he would wake up. My tears brought him back to life, because I have the ability to heal the sick and injured. Sapphire spoke to me about how Aang came back to life and she told me some shocking news. The day after I got my wings, my hair changed and it now has red ombré at the bottom of it. Ever since the fight at Ba Sing Se and I grew my fire wings, she's only contacted me twice. In the last few weeks, Sapphire hasn't been contacting me as much. We've seen a few other Fire Navy ships but they haven't bothered us. We were sailing on a Fire Nation ship in disguises and are traveling West. Unfortunately, Chameleon Bay was overrun by the Fire Nation so instead of attacking we fled and stole one of their ships. The Earth King and Bosco decided to go off on there own adventure together in disguise so they are gone. Ruka was relieved to be back with her tribe and Hakoda was glad to know his best warrior was safe.

It's been hard seeing him lay in bed and not moving, but he's breathing and he's alive.Īfter the incident in Ba Sing Se and watching it get captured by the Fire Nation, the team, my mother, and I flew to Chameleon Bay where we found Hakoda and the other Water Tribe Men. It's been weeks since Aang got struck by Azula and was revived.
